Process

Stripping is a physical process used to remove undesirable substances from water. Stripping of substances from the liquid phase is effective whenever the concentration of the contaminant in the gas phase (stripping air) is lower than the equilibrium concentration associated with the contaminant concentration in the liquid phase. This equilibrium relationship is described by the so-called Henry’s law. Henry’s law depends on the specific substance system, the pressure, and the temperature.
