Remediation of a site with CHC-contaminated soil and groundwater

Remediation at a world leader specialty chemicals company in France.

More than 600 t of cyclohexane had leaked from a production unit and reached the subsurface and the groundwater.
For the soil remediation and ground water treatment, Prantner delivered an efficient extraction technology to avert dangers and to eliminate the pollutants as quickly as possible.

The remediation of the subsurface was carried out with an air purification system, a catalytic oxidation system as well as a water purification system. The measured mass discharge was 4,000 kg of cyclohexane per month.
